This exercise combines the airlift pump with other aquaculture principles in a simple one-design biofilters for small aquariums to build. The airlift provides the flow of water through the filter and the bio-media is composed of recycled water bottles. Use this drawing as a guide and your imagination and create your own aquarium biofilters. Let me know what you come up with improvements.
